Outside

Outside provides a solution to book a table remotely and instantly.

Filter, find, check and book among all the terraces within reach.

Research

Especially when there is good weather or when there is not much room inside, terraces become a key spot to meet with groups of friends or family.

Demand is so high that sometimes finding a spot outside can be a tiresome and complex process.

Therefore, and with an aim at finding a solution to this problem, we focused on researching how users manage themselves to socialize and meet their friends.

More than *70% of people researched state that they manage their meeting with none or few hours in advance. Thus dismissing any other type of organization.

These people tend to meet at the same place, dismissing new options either by habit or because they don’t know any better place.

*The study included a total of 80 individuals.

Therefore, due to a lack of organization and always going to the same place, the chances of finding a place immediately are really low.

This is where users find their main problem: long and tedious searches to find new available and pleasing places.

User Persona

Based on the information obtained in the research, we can define a user persona.

In this case we meet Lorena. A young woman that works in social media. She is a digital native, so she can easily use technological products.

She has a very active social life and doesn’t like organization. She likes to live her life one day at a time.

User Flow

The user flow will allow us to have a better knowledge of the behaviour of the user when using the app.

Site Map

We will define the Site Map of the app to arrange and classify the various functionalities that it offers. This step is of great help to develop the first wireframes.

Moodboard

This is a product aimed at socializing and enjoying the outside; both of them positive concepts. Therefore, we are focused on providing friendly, colourful and powerful graphics.

UI

The app will include various illustrations stemming from the graphic identity. The smiley, which refers to happiness – socializing with friends, will be key along with the cloud – the outside.

The colours are clearly related to the “outside”: yellow as the Sun and blue as the sky. These two colours provide enough contrast to create a powerful and recognisable UI.

Iconography, along with the fonts, will be simple and clean in order to be balances with the rest of the app.
